The paid occupancy rate is lower than last spring across almost all analyzed markets as United States destinations experience the effects of COVID-19. The Outer Banks and Jackson Hole are not seeing a large drop in occupancy since May and April are outside their peak season. Panama City Beach and the Hawaiian Islands are heavily affected by the virus as travel restrictions are enforced and guests avoid fly-to markets. Many markets show normalization of paid occupancy by June, with some destinations improving over 2019 in July.
