Vacation Rental Markets in Southeast States Rebounding Faster than West Coast States

Across the United States, individual states are in charge of creating their reopening policies. As a result, some regions are reopening at faster paces than others. States on the east coast have started re-opening before states along the west coast and their vacation rental markets are rebounding faster. For the past few weeks, reservations per property in the Southeast United States are close to double reservations per property in West Coast states. Therefore, we are also seeing Adjusted Paid Occupancy pacing closer to last year in southeastern states, even outpacing last year the week of August 22nd. Adjusted Paid Occupancy is not expected to outpace last year in West Coast states until mid-September.
