The Hawaiian Islands are a year-round tourist destination. Thanks to the mild weather, vacationers can enjoy all the islands have to offer all year, although peak occupancy occurs in the winter months. In 2019, the average length of stay for vacation rentals stayed at 8 days, just as in 2018.
The average renter booked their vacation 100 days out from their stay; 3 days closer than in 2018. Overall, the region’s occupancy rate decreased and ADR increased versus last year, but results were mixed by island: RevPAR decreased slightly on Oahu, Kauai and the Big Island over 2018, but increased by 12% on Maui.
