The Tennessee Smoky Mountains have seen a sharp increase in bookings since the Governor of Tennessee has started to allow businesses to reopen in a majority of the state. From May 5th to May 11th, their bookings over last year have increased an average of 75%. Even with reservations spiking back up, it appears that most renters are looking to book within driving distance from their homes. Over 17% of renters are traveling to the Smoky Mountains from within Tennessee, up from 13% in 2019, and another 50% are coming from North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
