Booking activity for vacation rentals in the United States continues to shift. During late April and May, as destinations reopened to visitors, reservations for arrivals within 30 days had the highest increase year over year. In the past week, reservations for arrivals within 30-60 days had the highest increase over 2019 and arrivals 60 days away finally improved over last year. This could be a sign of two trends. First, many markets in the Southeast have near-100% occupancy for late June and July so renters are booking trips for later in the Summer. Second, traveler confidence is increasing that destinations will remain open and not implement a second wave of lockdown.
